This Schwimmwagen was bought a few years ago. The
previous owner was a man from Austria, Hermann Loibl. Unfortunately he
died 2 months after he sold the car.The new owner managed to talk to him
despite their lack of each others language. The previous owner bought it
as vitually an empty body in 1965, his uncle finding out about it, over
the next 5 years he restored it and used it frequently there after. On
the windscreen are a couple of transfers which show it went up the Gross
Glockner at least once. The roads became very busy in modern times so he
did not travel so much in the later years.
